Default Tuned by Panducky

Hey guys, I had panducky (composimo) install and tune a vafc2 today on my car. Car already has berk header and test pipe and I wanted to lean it out a bit since I know the early ap1's ran super rich. After everything was installed we went to the dynojet dyno and I baselined at 204whp 135lbs of tq, which I thought was pretty good for an old AP1. After leaning to about high 12's and getting vtec to about 5700ish he got it up to 212whp and 140lbs of tq. Ill get the dyno sheet up later but just spreading the word. 8whp is awesome on just a tune, and thats still with the stock exhaust. Im sure once I get a better flowing exhaust to match the header and test pipe, and retune it that I should hopefully be into the 220's.

To everyone at panducky, they gave me an awesome price and super easy to work with. Make sure you guys go to the cookout saturday Thanks

I seriously doubt you will make it to the 220's with just an exhaust, since you already ahve the testpipe. Keep up posted, I'm interested to see what happens

The stock exhaust flows very well you will save whight but, not pickup much more power. You may see 214/216 tops

Nice gains

I have heard many unhappy VAFC owners say that the car's ECU will override the VAFC tune over time and go right back to stock mapping.

true, but pull a fuse and the OEM ECU resets. So you're good to go again.

the ecu will only override the partial throttle settings which we didn't even bother with. we just tuned for WOT, I don't think the wot settings get overrided.
