TV finally died.
Well my big ass tube TV finally died on me, and I guess it's time to get a flatscreen. Which one is the best dpi per buck? I'm not looking to break the bank, but to have a good one would be nice, any advice?

Consumer Reports rates the following as the top 3 1080i LCD in 46":
1) Samsung LN-T4661F
2) Sony Bravia KDL-46W3000
3) LG 47LB5D
They suggest LCD over plasma for very bright rooms. However, you can get a larger screen for the money going with plasma. In the 50" size for 1080i they recommend only one: Panasonic TH-50PZ700U.
CNET.com also likes the Panasonic for plasma and they say the Sony is the best they've seen for the LCD.
Personally, I'm going with LCD...plasma still has burn-in issues and haven't heard they've significantly increased pixel life. Plus, I have skylights right over the room where the tv resides and am afraid the plasma will washout or reflect.
