Default Update: Tijuana Flats Meet

If the weather holds up, me & Danae' are considering heading over. If you want to hook up, call me and we'll meet you on the road. We are coming straight down Hwy 39 to I-4 at Plant City and getting on the Interstate there (exit 21). C'mon....let's get a group drive and head over. Grilled Burritos, cold beer and hot sauce haven !!!

I would like to at that exit by 6:30 PM and heading east then. Thanx !!

That'll be tricker than tryin' the approach to Chicago Midawy with wind sheer !! I do hope that you don't have to make that one too. Be real carefull, you still need more tropheys.................

Ugh, that reminds me of when I flew from Boston to Indianapolis via Chicago to defend my thesis. The wind was so bad many were becoming ill on the plane (myself included). We're 30' above the runway and crosswinds came out of nowhere... tip left, left wingtip comes within 2' of tarmac, opposite wind combined with massive correction takes us in the exact opposite position, right wingtip 2' off of tarmac. (45-50 degree banks at 10,000' are one thing, but when you're less than 50' from the ground?! Scary shit!)

...I rented a car and drove the rest of the way! Though I must admit, that wasn't much better. The wind was so strong on the ground I was literally changing lanes before I could correct (crappy little 2-door Speck with loose steering).

Alright, I'm leaving work as I type. The three different radar sites that I have here all show decent weather for the remainder of the evening. If you want to hook up, call me. Thanx !!

I hope all who went had fun. Thought about going until I figured out what my problem with my car was. Alternator burnt up. Go figure.

So after yesterday morning of a light show going off with my dash and gauges and the Electric Power Steering going out I about had it with the car. 637 and change for a new alternator, I am having mine rebuilt.

Oh about wind sheer and crazy landings.
You have not lived until you landed with wind sheer at a 12 degree turn towards the wind, and an RPG flying across the runway at Baghdad International.
I know most of you guys won't have to expierence this, but it did not sound good to me coming over the net, (radio) for my first time there in country.

We should try to go to more Orlando meets. Everyonce in a while they should make it a weekend, so more Tampa crew can attend.

Hope you had a good time Scott.

Raven,

If you'd like to help with a swap on my car, I'll give you a deal on my alternator (swapping mine out with a powdercoated one with LEDs ).
