Used Rear S02's
My rear tires are as bald as racing slicks... I'm NOT looking to pay $300 to $400 to buy brand new tires considering I'm trading my car in less than two weeks, but it's becoming a safety issue. So does anyone here, especially in the South Florida area, know of a place where I can get used S02's for cheap or you're selling a pair yourself? Let me know. Thanks.
MAV, how about this...
Buy a new set of S-02s (Tire Rack, ask for the OEM size for S2ks)....should cost about $310. Have a local shop mount them on your 01. Keep the balding set that they remove. Now you have new tires for a car that is squirelly in the wet (and I KNOW it rains down there at least as much as it does up here in Orlando during the summer). That's worth $300 in my opinion if it keeps you off a concrete median.
When your new car comes in, go back to the tire store and have them REMOUNT the old tires on your trade-in and take the new ones off. Now you have a SPARE set of new S-02s (which you will need in about 8-10K miles ANYWAY).
