Default wanna see something REALLY fast?

just in case there are some crazy drag racers here ... my friend should have his little screamer out in Gainesville if everything comes together in time.

here it is ... a slightly modified Yamaha Banshee.

he has outrun a turbo charged ZX-10 ... and the ZX-10 actually had a head start!

This is something i do NOT care to drive ... at all! .... well, maybe if the hubs were stretched out another foot on each side ... then i would take it to an autoX. The only scary thing thing then is how do you stay ON it!?!?!

I'll know for sure by Wednesday morning and post an update then.

let's just say that he has to stay in good physical shape just to stay on it.

Launching this thing takes incredible grip ... but, that's where he wins races too.

I'll try to get all the crazy data from him later. What i do know is that the cyliders are no longer stock units (aftermarket/cryo'd) and it runs on alcohol! I'll post numbers and hp later once it get it. I've seen him run it at the track and let's just say it's crazy.

I know a guy that ran one of them up in Phila PA on the street. If you seen one go you would wet your paints The fastest thing I ever seen on the street
He would give 10 sec cars 3 lengths and still pass them like they were standing still

yep ... same thing with this set up. He runs down 8 sec qtr mile cars all day. The Banshee is set up for 1/8th mile so it really isn't a 'fair' race ... even though he's still way ahead a the end of the quarter mile!

His current 'daily driver' mustang is in the middle of an incredible build-up. Let's just say it will give the Banshee a good run!

If i can get some video (legal anyway) I'll post it up.

What's he turning the 1/8th in?
Has he run it at IRR?
Nice looking ride.
