How did the Equipe Rapide event go on Saturday? I saw a lot of cars there.

I had a good time.

I was running with bald S02s and since this was the first I've tracked my car I took it easy. I finished what appeared to be 2nd or 3rd in combined average in my class of 10 cars. I was running novice class (SN1). I didnt stick around though because there were so many cars that had to run after my group (1). I don't know if you stopped out there I was the Black S2000 #671 (a lot of #s were taken and I had 1, 7, & 6).

I'm definately going to the autox and speedtrial down at metrozoo on memorial day weekend. I actually ordered myself an SA2000 helmet yesterday.

Everyone that owns an S2000 should go to one of these events at least once!

I was flying over (Pompano Harness Track) when I saw all the cars and thought of you. I did see a black 2000 but didn't know how many black ones were there. If there was only one I guess I saw you. Next time I will be there.. I guess I'll have to get or borrow a helmet first.

I ran in the autocross on Saturday and stopped by on Sunday. It was a lot of fun! Perfect weather and an interesting course.

There were 2 S2000s there on Saturday and we took 1st and 2nd in the B-stock class with competition from a BMW M3, Boxster 2.5 and some other car. Let's make this class bigger - all you S2000 drivers out there (and you know who you are ) need to see what you and your car are capable of!

On Sunday there were 3 S2000s at the event, a white car driven by my friend Ole, Keith's Black and a Silver. Did you have fun Keith?

There was a lot of fine machinery at these events - a Lotus 7 (pre-Caterham original!), Lotus Esprit turbo, Ferrari Testarossa, Porsche turbo, and 2 Vipers were spotted.

SinD - I also run autocross over in Fort Myers where there is a Boxster-driving woman that needs some competition. The next event I'm attending is on Sunday June 9. What do you think? Care to learn more about what your car is all about ?

 

Yeah I had a great time. I went and ordered a helmer from Racer Wholesale two days ago so I can be all set for the next one on Memorial Day weekend @ Metrozoo.

I think I did pretty well also. I'm waiting for Carl to post the results. Averaging times I was probably 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in my class. Regardless, I was only driving about 75% on bald tires and just getting familiar with the car, so I think that isn't bad. The fastest guy had a C5 vette.
