Default Yellow Jacket HELP!

Hey, i just installed the yellow jacket and all the checks work except the speedometer test (5 sec light, and 2 blinks work). I push the car and the lights dont blink. but if i start the car and push the car it blinks. When i tried to drive it the speedometer just stayed at 0. I checked the wiring and everything and seems correct, did i use the wrong wires or something? anybody got any ideas??

Did you solder the wires or use crimp connectors? I've read quite a few reports of dead speedometers from not soldering the connections.

Yeah, throw those crappy connectors away, they're horrible. Mine wouldn't work with them. Go spend 5 bucks at walmart and buy some much better connectors or solder as others have suggested.

Sounds like it may be hooked up backwards on the speedo input/output side. RXDI has a good link there. Look for the blu/white wire coming from the blue connector under the ECU. One side of that connector goes to the main harness and ECU, the other side goes down below the ECU and back up into the dash around the start button area. That is where you want to wire it, between the ECU and the dash. Hope that helps.

Quick question... Does the car need to be started for the LED's to sense the speed test or just in the key on the on position??
