Arrow Adjusting Caster

What's involved in changing caster - is it a simple adjustment, or more than that?

Reason for asking is that I'm told that the caster can't be adjusted on the S without shims... or different struts - I'm pretty damn sure that's but thought I should make 100% sure on here before I go into a rant

Camber can be adjusted by turning the adjustment bolts acoording to the helm's manual page 18-6 and 18-7. I am sure that there is a tolerance range. You may have been exceeding the tolreance, hence the need for shims?

Caster is adjusted via the rear mount for the front lower control arm. There is an eccentric bolt that goes up into the car that does it.

You want to make sure that caster is equal on both sides or else the car will pull to one side.

Camber is adjusted via the front mount of the front lower control arm. There is an eccentric bolt that runs fore-aft through the bracket mount.

So far as what is expected - (Su2uKa already knows this) - here's what to expect when changing from US to UK alignment specs:

see previous post with many details

As far as what's involved mechanically -

That's the bit I needed though - having beed told by <someone who should know [much] better> that caster is not adjustable on the S, which is

I'll think seriously about taking my car back if they don't know what they're talking about
