Another Day at the Track
Kieth, Shawn and I were able to make the last track day. Again it was a blast. The Prelude folks will also be participating. Club members receive a discount. IMO, this is a great way to drive the S2000 in a safe, controlled manner.
The Phil Wicks Driving Academy has announced new dates for September and October.
September 25 and 26 is in Nashville TN at the Nashville Super Speedway. Sign up for either or both days with a discount for a two-day registration. Visit the website for registration materials and prices.
October 3 is the next date open for all makes and models of cars at Gateway International Speedway in St. Louis. Information is on the website.
We will be offering the Phil Wicks Safe Driving Academy in Nashville on September 26 only and at St. Louis on October 3.
Space is limited, so sign up soon.
Cheers!

It is a driving school in that there is no racing. The idea is driver's education. Instructors are there to teach you how to go into turns, when to brake, downshift, what the best lines are.
here's a layout of gateway. http://www.gatewayraceway.com/mapOvalGS.html
I participate in the intermediate group. Shawn did the last one in the novice. The big difference is the amount of instruction in the classroom. Shawn can desribe the novice more. An instructor will ride along with you the first couple of rides.
You should get about 7-8 runs of about 20 min. each. It doesn't sound like much, but it really is alot. Its kinda a long day at the track.
Check out phil wicks site for more info.
