Default Any hardtop owners?

Hey all,

My friend is looking for a new a car and I suggested an S2000 as it seem to perfectly fit his criteria. In fact, he does like the car and would have bought one a few years back except that he is pretty tall, and didn't think he fit. Well the other night I let him get in my car, and it turrns out he does, just barely.

If he buys one though, he will almost certainly want a hardtop, whichh I don't have. Does anyone here have a hardtop car? What can you tell me about the head clearance versus the soft top? Would you be willing to let us come out and have him sit in it?

Thanks

PM jlabeaume. His car is on the end...

I think he took it off for the summer, though.

I had one on my AP1, but it was on the car during the big crash last December (i.e. it's a goner now). I didn't notice any significant reduction in interior space, but the again I'm only 5' 9" tall. I don't think that anyone else in our group has a hard top right now (other than the Sebring Silver one previously mentioned, and visualized above).

I love my hardtop. There is more headroom and vison is better. Plus it just looks better.

Yes mine does come off quite often, we two people it takes 30 seconds.

You say there is actually more headroom than the soft top? He fits in there, so if this is true it should be fine.

BTW, aren't you on STLSR?

Yes I am on STLSR, thats where the sig is from.

Anyways I think the hardtop has more headroom, at least it feels like it does. I am around 6'1" and fit in it wearing a helmet without any problems.
