It was a BAD day
Thanks again, all.
Unofficially, the shop says the car is a loss. ZIPPO!
Waiting for the insurance company's word, now. Hrmph!
I'll pick up a copy of the itemized "need's-repair" list tomorrow and post the contents... to make everyone think twice about rear-ending a concrete wall.

Is there anything you can get out of the car that's not damaged and have a "Part-Out" sale? Or does the insurance co keep the car as is?
Also, I wonder what 10 pounds of titanium is worth on the black market...
Thanks 8BALL!
I had a little 'aggricultural excursion' in my S back in June of last year. Was kinda fun. There is a thread about it here.
By looking at the pics and judging by the convertible top; it looks like you tweaked the frame a bit. It's more than likely totaled. It could be fixed, but the car would probably never drive the same. If there is no frame damage, then I don't think it would be hard to fix. If you want a really good body shop to take it to, let me know. They did excellent work on mine.
For the aftermarket stuff. I would try to put the factory parts back on it before it goes, if it's totaled. Or you could just show the insurance company your reciept for your exhuast and such, and they should just add that in to the money you will get.

Got the official "it's totaled" from the insurance today. Went to remove the Injen CAI and license plates at the shop today. (THANKS FOR THE TIP!) The exhaust was too mashed to keep. They'll move it to another shop to estimate a "fair price".
Has anyone ever bought a car from another state? Propterty tax goes to Missouri, but what about sales tax?

Hi Ron
My car came from Ill and I am going to apply for title and transfer plates tomorrow. I expect to pay sales tax to Mo at that time. I don't expect to pay personal property tax on this car until the end of 06 as I still had the Accord on 01/01/05. When you buy a car from out of state I belive you will pay sales tax to Mo only. Hope this helps

Hi All,
Spent the last 15 minutes searching for a thread to an s2ki member who offered free VIN/title searches. Was I dreaming (that there is one)?

I read in the Post where one of the insurance companys was repairing and reselling salvaged vehicles in Indiana and not declaring salvage titles. I do not think these will show as salvaged in carfax. Just a heads up
