Default Convertible top window

Does anyone know anywhere to get the plastic rear window on the convertible top fixed. On Saturday I walked outside in the morning and my back window had a crack in it. This sucks so if anyone has had this problem please let me know.

That blows... Sorry to hear it. You're in Chesterfield - Right? Are you willing to do the work yourself or do you want to have it done? This DYI takes about 6-8 hours for experienced owners an a few hours longer if you have never done it before.

If you want to have someone do it for you, I can get you a name and number. Ed Napleton outsources this type of work and I'm sure they will give me the companies name & number that does this work for them.

If you want to do it yourself, check << HERE. Since you have to replace the window anyway, you may also want to do the glass conversion. Same amount of work is involved.

Is there a way to replace the back plastic window with a glass one without replacing the whole top. I thought that I had to replace the whole top to do the glass window conversion.

Unfortunately, it's a whole soft top replacement. You can use the existing frame. Will cost around $800 vs. the $200 for a new plastic window. It's about a 10-12 hour DYI.

That is definitely not a job I would ever want to tackle. Just about every piece has to be removed from the seats back.

it has to be easier than a 1000 piece puzzle, I'd do it myself.

It has to be easier than a Comptech S/C install!

Alternatively you can install the hardtop (but costs a WHOLE lot more!)

HA I would rather do 2 s/c installs over 1 top install.

I don't know... Looks like it would be a draw 2 s/c's vs. 1 soft top window replacement... I think I would go for the window replacement.
