Dude, gross.
I lent the 92 Camry to a friend for a while and just got it back last weekend. While they had it, they reported standing water on the floor, maybe 1" or so. It had rained, so I figured there might be something leaking but once I got it back, everything checked out - sealwise. I figured I would let it dry, but today I noticed more water on the floor. After a browse through the Hanes manual, I started pulling up the carpet to see were the water came from. this is what I found:

Here it is. WHen I pulled this little rubber hose out, all hell broke lose - it had been clogged and the water that had accumulated ofr a month started showeringout all over the place.

Shop vac filled with brown water form interior and AC:
Just thought I would share for anyone who might have water on there floor for no apearant reason. I am letting it air dry in the sun. It was starting to smell bad and give me a headache

Funny... similar thing happened to my Integra last month... not quite as much water tho. It wasn't a clogged hose either. It ended up being some metal piece (some sort of rain guard maybe?
) under the trim by the windshield that was bent too far forward. Just bent it back and no probrems since. But the water in the shop vac looked very similar. Nastiness.

little advice if you want.that material on the back of factory carpet.you can replace your self if you want.you can buy it at any LOWES or HOME DEPOT.The material is very close to what s on the factory carpet.what youll need is a sharp razor blade, the backing material, one can of 3m spray adheasive(the good stuff).of course steam clean the carpet when done.
It was draining form the AC - you know how water drops out while the AC is on. I think it is also connected to the heater core. Thanks for the tips, I think I will leave the insulation in for now, how would I go about steam cleaning the carpets though? It doesnt smell bad in the car anymore, but when I turn the AC on, I think I smell some mildew. How would I get rid of that?
