Gregory knows how to roll fenders too (without damaging the fender) . Talk to him about it.

Dang, sorry to hear! I know exactly how you feel with someone you don't know touching your car...unfortunately. My car will be paying a visit to Gregs this week too. Long story, I'll post about it soon.

Do you know if Gregory is going to roll your fenders after he repairs them? Curious to know if they have a fender roller.

oh no ... not another "story"

Just an update that I brought the car in this morning. It's costing me about $1000 of work to repair the fenders. The additional work/cost is that I forgot to show Greg that the upper part of the quarter panels were slightly 'buckled' thanks to Mr. IKnowHowToRollFenders. They are going to bend the rest of the fender lip back, repair all the damage and repaint the rear quarters panels. Total labor will be at 30 hours which includes repainting my rear bumper (something I needed to get down anyhow).

Grrrrrrr....

Hey Keith, did the IKnowHowToRollFenders guy use a heat gun to first soften up the metal before attempting to roll the fenders?

I rolled my fender with a standard fender rolling tool. I first heated up the area I was rolling. This also keeps the paint from cracking. Once the "thin" metal is heated up, it rolls perfect, then cools down and hardens.

Yep... he had Mr.IKnowHowToUseAHeatGun helping him. The paint cracking was something I was warned about. The damaging of bodywork wasn't...

Ya, that sucks. I know how you feel.

I've also learned not to let anyone touch my car unless I know and trust them.
I've learned how to do a lot of stuff myself just because I don't trust anyone else.
