Default F1 USGP in Indy *** 2006 ticket info***

Since St. Louis is only a short little drive through central Ill. to Indiana, I thought folks in the St. Louis area might be interested in this special offer for tickets to the United States Grand Prix this year for S2000 owners that includes the opportunity to park your S2000 in the exclusive car club corral inside the track, even if you are already a ticket buyer for the race!

Does this fit anyone's plans? (We have a detail day scheduled for that day).

Now I'm thinking about driving my S2000. The thing is, the walk is probably farther through the speedway to stand H than it is from Parking Lot 1 (or A, I can't remember). Is the corral still on the far side of the track (where the NASCAR back straight is)?

Yes, the car corral is on the back straight of the oval. However, its not a bad walk through the infield, and then you go under the main straight through the tunnel, hang a right and you will be at stand H.

I was in J last year. I think the walk is shorter from where I park than it is from the car corral. Will there be a charge if I already have a ticket?

If you are already a race ticket buyer, it is my belief that you can take advantage of the package deals without buying another ticket, etc. You have to call the IMS group ticket office at 1-317-492-8100 and give your customer ID#. They can make clear the terms and what is available for the S2000 group.

More information from the F1 USGP:

For the car clubs that are participating in the Car Corral, the IMS is organizing car cruises over the race weekend, and so the S2000 contingent can get in on that too if we want.

Also, like they did last year, if you stay over the next day (Monday after the race) and renew your ticket purchase for next year's race, you can drive your car around the F1 circuit that evening.

And, there is also a breakfast the morning of the race ($10.00 per person) hosted by the Ferrari Club at the American Legion across from Gate 6 of the IMS on Georgetown Road that will be available to the car clubs who are participating in the Car Corral.

All more reasons to take advantage of this great opportunity and drive your S2000 to the US Grand Prix and join the fun.

I can't stay until Monday evening. If they'd do it Sunday evening, then I'd be all over it. I'll have to think about it; it's like a 15.5 hour drive for me.
