Default Fred Flintstone

All you S daily drivers, how does your car feel when it's really cold like today? (about 15F driving home)

Mine felt like a rock, but not in a good way - more like Fred Flintstone rolling along than solid & planted. Of course the summer tires could have something to do with that - should've put the all-season's on - but it was also sluggish to turn over & fire up after a day sitting in the parking lot at work, & a bit creaky from the soft top ... is this 'typical' for an S in winter?

The good thing is the heater is really strong - I had to back it off because it was getting too hot in the car

all that you stated is normal. Not that I would know mine is sleeping for the winter.

The car BARELY started at work this pm. It's time for a new battery I think (MY02 original). Starts in cold weather from the garage are weak - but okay. The parking lot, unprotected starts are terrible.

Shifting (Honda manual transmission fluid) are smooth, even with a cold engine.

It will be fine. Your fluid is just cold and thick. Once your car warms, you should be shifting smooth again. If not, then be concerned.

Had the car out of the garage two nights this week and could definetly tell the fluids were cold and thick. No problems once I put it back in the garage.
