Default Gateway Pre-Fall Day Run

Gateway members...

We are scheduled to hold a Gateway Day Run on Saturday, September 17th. I have a couple of great routes already planned and have selected the one below. The day run will most likely take the entire day including several potty breaks and a stop half way though to grab some lunch.

Was thinking we grab lunch at Swiss Meats then continue heading down Route 19. I estimate the total drive time to be about 3.5-4 hours not including the time we stop for lunch

I also need to check out 94 as they were laying asphalt about a month ago. Don't know if they are done.

With that, I wanted to gauge interest in participation.

So who's planning on participating??

Did the drive out to Hermann over the weekend. The road patching seems complete with only limit shoulder work remaining.

Yes thats what the MODOT website said. We drove out there a few weeks ago and went around 94 by taking hwy. D to T to D back to 94.
Did you get a chance to look at Hwy 50, MODOT said that was also being worked on, we didn't get that far. Is that on the route too

Weather outlook for Sat 9/17 undetermined however Tue-Fri are looking great!. Who knows though... This is Missouri... If you don't like the weather, wait an hour.

Road trip still on as of today. Mapped out the route. Total miles about 144.

Planning on stopping at Swiss Meats for lunch then head back home through some very nice windies and twisties.

In case you are interested in the route:
1. Meet at Dairy Queen on 94
2. 94 West into Herman Route 19 South (52)
3. 19 South to into Swiss for lunch @ Swiss Meats (15)
4. Continue south on 19 into Drake to SR ZZ (Left-East) (7)
5. SR ZZ to SR Y (Left-North) (11)
6. SR Y to SR YY (Right-East) (6)
7. SR YY to SR C (Left-North) (3)
8. SR C to SR KK (Right-East) (5)
9. SR KK to Route 100 – SR KK and Route 185 merge then break up again during this leg (Right-East) (12)
10. Route 100 to Route 47 (Left-North) (4)
11. Route 47 to Route 94 (Right-East) (5)
12. Route 94 into back to Weldon Spring (24)

Construction delays are limited if at all exist

Any other takers?

Chance of rain showers for Saturday dropping, but still there at 30% (80/61). Let's decide late Friday or early Saturday if we are a go or not. If we do need to reschedule due to rain, the following Sunday is slated to be sunny (78/61) with only 10% chance of rain.

I'm in but may be solo. Have a friend from work that may join us. Will also try to get Brad to come. He had the Yellow S that got totaled from hail a few years ago.

Weather still holding out for Saturday with slight chance of Rain. We'll make the final decision Saturday morning. Sunday is looking great, but not everyone can attend on Sunday so I don't wait to push the cruise just yet.

For those going... Meet at Dairy Queen on Hwy 94 by 9:45. I would like to hit the road at 10:00, but no later than 10:15.

It will be raining most of the night and flooding is being reported in Gasconade and Franklin counties. Even if it quits earlier this eve, the roads will be wet and am unsure if all flood waters subsided.

With that, we are pushing this event to Sunday 9/18. It's going to be sunny, less humid and a nice 84/60. I know some of you can't make it Sunday - Sorry.

For those still coming, meet at the DQ on HWY 94 (at Independence)at 9:45
