Default Impromptu clutch fluid bleed

I have the need to bleed my clutch fluid this weekend. Pete has graciously volunteered to assist. Thought I would see if anyone else needs theirs done while we have the tools out. Should not take longer than 30-45 minutes.

We will be starting at 9:00. If you have the need to change yours out, feel free to stop by. Review this thread or this thread for needed materials

Thanks to Pete for coming over and lending a hand. We ended up doing the job twice, but have some great learning experience. The lines were bleed and refilled. The original fluid was very dark and had minor small particle contamination. Slave cylinder made "sweak" noise when clutch depressed. Removed slave cylinder (only 2 bolts) and rebleed the lines. Greased Slave cylinder boot and rod and reassembled. Refilled fluids and took it out for a spin. Not only did my sticking problem go away, but the car seemed to shift smoother.

Also reached out to Under the Hood for research. Read thread responses if interested. Clutch sticks

Thanks Pete!!

Fluid was old/contaminated!?!?

The slave cylinder required greasing. I need to go back and do it one more time as we did not "High Heat resistant" grease. The pedal is sticking a bit again so I think the grease we put on just melted away.
