Not to mention, keep it moving. But honestly, I think a heat gun is over kill... a hot hair dry should be enough... A heat gun could melt the emblems or bubble the paint if you are careful.

Aight so heres how the night wen with removing the decals.

Removing the decal was a piece of cake esp w/ floss. The glue/adhesive Honda used was my down fall. So tons and tons of goo gone and heat applied after abour an hour 1/2 later the fenders were shaved. It was about 10 o'clock, it was dark so i didnt notice anything wrong w/ the fenders.

This morning I woke up bright an early excited to pick up Selena (my S) from the shop w/ the brand new front bumper on their. As I walk through the garage I notice where my emblems use to be, there are crazy amounts of scratches, swirl marks and it just looks hideous!

So much for shaving my fenders! Im hoping with the use of some of polish and a buffer it'll come right out. I saw your post 8ball in the install detail day thread, Im about to post their right now to put me on the list.

So I get back to my house this morning and immediately start working on my fenders on trying to replace them. First, I tried to just remove the fenders with out taking the front bumper off, didnt happen. So I had to take the front bumper off. Now I dont think they even cut anything on the re-bar/bumper bar, or maybe they did. I just never knew what it looked like in the first place. But with all said and done it took about 2 1/2 hours for taking everything off and putting it back on.

At then I realized I still have 4 screws left that I didnt have to use .... I looked around made sure everything was securely fastened. Everything looked fine to me, So their sitting in my cup holder. man being a noob sux. haha

You got a real good start. Don't get agravated, we will get you fixed. I'll bring some more aggressive polish this weekend to use specifically on that area. We should get it nicely shined up for you.

If they didn't shave it the rebar, then you'll have 'nippling' in front of the headlights... I can't get a good look from the pictures you posted but if you can't tell if they have been shaved, then I'm thinking they didn't cut it.

3M makes a fantastic adhesive remover... works MUCH better than goo-gone (in my experience). If you have light scratches around the emblems, you should be able to buff them out (like you mentioned).

Looks good! Glad to see another GPW AP1 with an AP2 bumper! What size are the extra bolts you have? What do they look like?

I could faintly see where my side emblems had been but after doing the 3-step, it disappeared. Nice shot of the fenders removed. I was always wandered what was behind the curtain.
