Any advantage for having nitrogen? I hope this is not a dumb question.

"Many race car teams use nitrogen instead of air in their tires because nitrogen has a much more consistent rate of expansion and contraction compared to the usual air. Often, a half pound of pressure will radically affect traction and handling. With track and tire temperatures varying over the duration of a race, the consistency of nitrogen is needed."

No advantage that would be worth even $10.

In theory, Nitrogen should maintain slightly more consistent pressures than regular air due to the lack of moisture.

In practice, nobody cares about these fractions of psi except top teir racing teams, and even then it's usually not worth the hassle. Being able to quickly adjust pressures using regular air, instead of lugging around the nitrogen, ends up being more important.

If you're thinking about putting nitrogen in your street tires, I've also got some chassis braces and front strut tower bars to sell you.
