As the weather is beginning to cool down, I thought we would do another 1 day cruise. This time instead of going north following the Mississippi, I thought we would go south. I already have the route mapped. Figured we drive about 3 hours, stop for lunch, and then head back.

After checking my rather extensive schedule I find I am available both days

 

the 10th looks good for me. No Nascar that day.

I will be doing the MS 150 bicycle ride that day Oh well can't make them all.

I think the run in the S sounds better but this is a good cause.

Here is a prelimary route which is about a 250 mile round trip stopping in Farmington or nearby for lunch.

We head down 270 to 255 and exit route 3 to head south. Follow the Mississippi River and cross at Chester. Chester to Farmington and have lunch.

On the way back home we head through some nice windies and twisties as we head to Potosi to Pacific the toward St. Charles county.

If anyone has any recommendations on places to eat in Farmington, your feedback is welcome. Iv'e listed some restaurants below based on what sounded good:
