You are awesome. You invite me over to check the compression on each cylinder. Then drive me over to TWO Honda dealerships in your shiney new Corvette (that was fun ) to buy new spark plugs -- In the rain/spinkles -- SORRY!
NORMAL!! No bad rings! Since the plugs & cover was already off, I'm at 80k miles, and the spark plugs looked like crap (the spark pins were degraded to the porcelain) - Pete suggested replacing them. Leta Honda did not have the parts, but called Napleton, which did. I got to ride in Hondassport's Corvette all over St. Charles. He may have stepped on the accelerator once to show the car's potential. NICE!
Anyway, the new sparks were installed and we took a spin. Everything seemed normal to Pete, but I still heard a 'buzz' in VTEC. I'll check the exhaust for cracks/leaks next. The car pulled 'normal' in VTEC, so I am super happy at the moment!
Seems Pete saved me a trip to the dealership for a checkup - which would have been costly. I owe you, dude!

Great news Ron; super job Pete - Suzuka Blue: not just the fastest colour .. the best owners too!
Ron, Sure glad your VETC problem was fixed with new sparkplugs and that the compression checks were okay. But what about the 3-quarts down on oil problem? Could that have been caused by a slow leak at the oil filter or drain plug?
