Default PDX offers $55 Test Drive

The PDX program is offering a $55 20 minute test drive at their full day events. If you are not sure PDX is for you, come and drive with an instructor. For more information contact Chuck DeProw at cdeprow@charter.net or check out the PDX site at www.stlpdx.com.

Next event: Wed. 5/13

I will be instructing at these events along with David, Keith, and Ali.

To clarify it is a HPDE or track day on Gateway Intl's road course and the SCCA is allowing you to drive your car for 1 20 min. session accompanied by a certified instructor.

In case you're not sure what a PDX is: (I wasn't)

Sounds interesting - who's thinking of going?

What's the price for the full day event? Can't seem to find anything on the website and I don't want to register at the other site just to find out...

The cost of the full event is $225... and it will be well worth it. You'll really get to push your S2000 as far as your comfortable and be able to test your and your car's limits within a safe environment. Warning: it's addictive! I'll be out there in my Honda Prelude (the S2000 occasionally makes an appearance on the track).

The $55 test drive is just an opportunity to get your appetite wet and to get those who are still on the fence about committing the full cost or day to doing a PDX/HPDE/DE/track day.

Some pictures from this past Wednesday's event with Nick and David out on track:

I'm in the process of canceling my other plans for that day. I'm sure both cars are track ready (still not sure of which one to bring), but I'm not too sure about myself. What gear do I need to pick up to avoid any complications for the event? ...and where to get it? Thanks.

Matt

PS- Simon- I hope you see this...its your fault!

You'll make sure your car is up to tech/spec. Which basically means it should pass a state safety test. You might want to get a helmet that is SA 2000 or higher but if you can't, shoot the organizers of the PDX an email and I think they have loaners available.
