Default Rear Speaker's

Went to "Gateway's One Stop Shop" thread for the Rear Speaker Install but it keeps coming up "The Page Cannot Be Found". Does anyone have these speaker's? Did you install them or did dealer? Are they worth the money? On the highway w/ the the top down you really have to crank the radio/CD up to hear, any suggestion?

Search inside the Eltronics forum. There are several threads that will help.

My setup:
HeadUnit: Alpine CDA-7894
Doors: Alpine SPX-177A; tweeters mounted MY02 style.
Rear: Boston RM-6 2-way
Sub: Alpine SWS-1042D 10" w/ custom box
Amps: MRV-T320 & MRV-F540"

So to answer you question, no I don't that "those" speakers. Not sure which speakers you are considering. However, rear speakers are a must have IMO. Yes, they make a huge difference. You will need an amp, mine is a 4x540 450 RMS. I did have help running the wire.

A few links that may help:

upchurch, thanks for the notice. I've updated darkknight1999's post with an even better link to wiring your S. See the updated link in "the one stop shop".

that rear speakers are a must

None of us have the head-rest speakers. From what I read, they are OK, but you can get much more for your money elsewhere. Several of us do have rear speakers, amps, different front speakers and new Head Units.

Currently my setup is:
Alpine 9835 Head Unit
Alpine 435 1600 watt AMP
Rockford Fosgate P6001bd 600 watt sub amp
Kenwood 5 1/2 3-way door speakers
Kenwood 6 1/2 3 way rear speakers
MTX Thunder 6000 Sub woofer and enclosure

If you don't want to cut your back panels, you can get them pre-cut with speakers installed from Lucid. Check <<HERE>>

If you opt to cut panels yourself, the cut must be exact as there is not a lot of space behind the panel. If you do mess up, I have my old rear panels I would be willing to let go cheap.

I have the SPods and would not trade them for the world. The bring the sound of the rear speakers up to the headrests but look better than the OEM ones
