That's too high! You can get the OEM replacement AND glass window plus hardware for $845 from hardtopguy. I'm sure there's eBay and other sources that could even be cheaper.

ah NVM! i found out wat the difference was! HV Denim is basically wat comes OEM w/ the S2k.. the stayfast cloth is basically more cloth, "fabric". its wat "bmw, mercedes" use. they say if ppl get it on the s2k its more for the look than anythin else.. looks like its the EZ ON top w/ glass window. 468.25 shipped to my front door! WOO HOO!!!! gotta love topsonline.com

its been along time since ive been rolling around with the duct tape on the back. and im happy to say Selena (my S) will finally be getting a new top!! im dropping her off on monday the 9th! it will be fitted with the Robbins Brand Glass back retrofit for my AP1. its costing me $1100 installed. It'll be at Southtown Auto upholstery.
heres the link to their website: http://www.southtownuph.com/Default.asp
After talking to some of the guys at detail day, I decided to find a company that would do this, besides installing it myself. They are even warranting their work for 5 years. The top also comes with a 5 year warranty through Robbins. So all in all its not to bad. I cant wait to finally get a new top! its been almost a year with duct tape on the back! haha

Thanks, for the post. I'm still looking for a hardtop, but not driving the s2k is killing me.
Maybe a soft top and a new alarm for me.

If you are interested talk to Dave Miller, hes the owner of the shop and just mention my name.
I dropped the S off this morning, saying they should have it done by tmw 10 AM. but lets see what happens. I snapped a before pic of my top w/ all the duct-tape, and once i pick it up i'll snap an after. They might be a lil crappy cuz their phone pics (thats just the heads up haha)
