Sightings!
Hi all, just thought I would introduce myself here. I am picking up my first S2000 on Thursday (Oct 12) and I can't wait! I have been fond of the S since its intorduction, and knew it would be another screamer from the same people that manufactured the last V12 Formula 1 engine ever to win a world championship (1991).
I have owned an Integra GSR and a 3000GT VR-4, both stock, and I really like HPDE's. I attended 2 competition road racing schools, and in 04 contended round 8 of the Bertil Roos Race Series at Pocono in a Fromula Ford (finished 3rd). I have driven more than a few S2000's to be sure this is the car I want, and my initial impression is that of a car that is easy to be quick in, but to get close to maximum cornering potential can be somewhat intimidating. I plan on doing my own maintenance on the car, thanks in part to this great website, and of course geting to the track as much as I can.
Once the car is in my driveway, I will take pic.'s and purchase my membership. Thanks for reading, and keep up the good work!

Welcome Nick and enjoy the car - we all do too!
If you're going to do a lot of track work, the 9K redline of the AP1 is really nice. If you are buying a daily driver, the extra torque of the AP2 makes it a better match. Regardless of what you choose, you going to get a great handling, high quality vehicle that will have long lasting value - and lots of top down enjoyment.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I am officialy the new owner of a 2000 S2000. Its Berlina Black on Black/Red leather, 34,000 miles. I just drove it back from Virginia...that was a long trip. Its amazing that these things can turn a constant 4,000 rpm's for 10 hours! I kept feeling like I should back off a little, but then I would only have been going 60mph.
With all the wind from the north it was a little noisy, but overall I am very impressed by how solid this car is. The scenery along I-64 in west virginia was breath taking this morning. I was diving down a series of sweepers at about 80-100mph for like 20 miles with fall leaves blowing from the mountain like views on either side of me. Should have taken some pic's but I was too busy trying to make good time.
I'm gonna go grab some dinner with my GF in the new wheels, TTYL
Nick-now powered by Honda.

I saw a black AP1 getting on 70 today at Bryan. I know it is one of you, I just forget who. It had an exhaust and a college license plate frame ( I don't remember which school)
I was in my white Acura CL, the S is parked till I get new tires, or steal my dads extra set

Saw a silverstone s2000 yesterday (Sunday, October 29th) around 1:30PM on Delmar. Had a hardtop, pulled into the parking lot by the movie theatre. I was the soft-top silverstone following your through the loop, anyone here?
