Default Top Repair

Well, I managed to slice my top the other day by not latching the driver's side latch all the way. As a result, I now have a nice 1" slice right above the driver's side latch. Are there any good local shops that would be able to repair this to the point you can barely see it, or are there cheaper patch kits? Would it be even worth trying a warranty claim? Thanks guys!

I've been successful with a patch kit like this for 1" tears. A shop may also try to sew it..but.. no matter what you do, it's not going to look the same unless replaced.

I agree that a patch is the cheapest but you will always notice that it is there

The hardest part with this is getting an exact color and grain match. This is a very similar kit to what I used, but was unable to patch and sew based on the location of the tear. You may have better luck. If you would like to try a fix on detail day, I would be willing to lend a hand

Don't tempt me. I would love to get a Mugen HT.

Thanks for the links guys. I think I found a marine grade patch that I'll give a try. I think at this point I know that it won't look perfect, but my main concern is it leaking.
