im selling my s2000 and im getting a m3 the problem is that is im looking things keep getting in the way a new model coming out at the end of next year and the price is it worth it to buy a new one for $60,000 or a used one for 40,000 and im wondering how many people bought used cars and felt like it wasnt good

There are several options here.

1) Buy older model year (new from dealer) at about a 15-30% discount
2) Buy pre-owned at about a 25-40% savings for about a 2 year old car
3) Buy new and pay full price.

I would check into option #1. If you shop around, the dealships are trying to get their older model years off their lot and showroom floor to make room for the new vehicles. You do have some very nice negotiating power here. You may also consider a 1 year old pre-owned, but will need to do your research to determine the car's history (maintenance record, car use, accidents..).

Even though I bought the S brand spanking new (option #3), I would reconsider it if I were to do it again. I guess it all depends how much you really want the car and are willing to have high payments.

Just my $.02

I have always bought new. This way I created the car's history and there where no surprises.

Bought my second S used. Found out it was tracked while leased, after the sale (to me). Not necessarily a problem -- I figure any sports car should be driven like it's built for. Also, it was purchased with a full tank of 87 octane. The dealerhip had no respect...

Bought it used from a non-Honda dealership in MN...

Best idea is 8BALL's #1 or #3
