Default Where Is Everybody

The activity on this forum has drastically taken a dive. Next to no posts. Is V4 that bad? Is it just summer and no one has had a chance to post?

Hope that we pick up in the next few days!

I would like to start the "Install days" next months, so if you are interested, please post and give me your opinion. Hate to plan with no turnout. Please post here: Install Day

Also... Any interest in the paintball challenge against the STLPC? Please post here:Paintball War

And finally... Anyone going to go to Auto-X this weekend. I was planing on going to watch, but would hate to be alone... So come on... Post here: Auto-X July 17th

Come on... Lets see some activity on this site!

I can't say that the transition was flawless, that's for sure...

I might swing by the autocross this weekend, but I can't promise to show. I didn't get enough stuff done on my vacation (did go to Chicago and get my hard top though), Vegas was interesting though...

The work date is still something I'm interested in. Sounds like someone had access to a garage/parking lot, which would obviously work very well for such an activity.

I think I'm gonna go watch the auto x too. What time are you planning on going? I've been lurking around the forums but haven't posted much because it's just so slow. I'm anxiously awaiting the pads for my new buffer right now so hopefully I will be arriving at the auto x with a shiny S.

"What time are you planning on going?" - Participants are requested to be there by 7:30. Then car prep and meetings. First car is off at 10:30. So, I think I'm going to get there around 9:30 - 10:00 to check out some cars before they start. If you want to meet up in the lot or elsewhere... I've sent you my cell number in a PM

"I've been lurking around the forums but haven't posted much because it's just so slow." I have been doing the same.. More lurking than posting... However, I am trying post and set some plans, as much as I can, in Gateway so we don't die. Dent lurk.. Post... and keep posting... Every little topic helps gain the interest of others. No Topics + No Interests = DEAD SITE.

Hear is what I have been waiting to hear from YOU!

Tape... Still on your mind to pull?... Your idea of Pros/Cons?
New Buffer??? What kind? What buffer Pads are you getting? I just got a new Porter Cable adjustable up to 6500 RPM oscillating buffer. Also have orders some McQuire pads.

I don't post much on any forum. I'm more of a 'quality over quantity' person. as for the new site, I'm still up in the air about it. I really only come here to read anyway and browse the For Sale board.

For the install/maintence day. I'm going to be changing my oil and trans fluid next week so I probably won't have anything to have done next month.

The paintball game. I haven't played paintball in years. It got kinda boring to me and not what I what I really wanted to do, now I play airsoft.

For the autocross Sunday. I plan on going to at least pick up some stuff from Solo Performance. I really want to run, but I won't be getting my car back til Monday. I can't autocross the rental I have, so unless someone would let me run their car, I won't be running. So I may not even go, might just have Solo Perf ship me my stuff.

Mike- Your PM said for Sunday. I thought the 17th was Saturday??? I'm confused now but it is late.. I picked up the Porter Cable 7336sp and ordered some pads from bettercarcare. I don't' know what brand they are but wanabe suggested them. I also picked up some P21s wax and I can't wait to try it. Everytime I think I have my mind made up on the tape I change my mind and think it looks better the other way so I'm back and forth... I think I will for sure do it if I get a hardtop. However, I am currently unemployed and will be until mid August so I don't see me having the cash for that anytime soon. I do want to switch out my intakes if we have an install day. I've been seeing a ton of S2's around. I have yet to get a wave back from anyone or anything more than a confused look when I honk and give them a wave. I have seen a lady that owns a berlina park over one too many parking blocks. Other than that this side of the river has been pretty boring. I'm going to bed I have a busy day of wash/claybar/wash/polish/synthetic wax/carnuba x2/post pics.

I'm almost positive auto-X is on Sunday 7/18. Can't access the STLORG site right now, but will verify.

Very nice buffer.. A couple of model numbers down from mine. You will enjoy it very much. The P21S wax is great. I have used it in the past, but have found a kit that removes polish, waxes, applies new clear coat in a three step process which I like better. If you are interested, I'll send you the information.
We can do the intake switchout on our first install day. Do you have the new intake already. Should take less than 2 hours. You can be the first. Before I finalize the install day, I would like more commitment from other members. If not... you and I can get together and do the switchout.

Hope to see you on Sunday... You have my cell number.

Some of my Probe buddies stopped over late last night and told me that Midnight Madness had been re-scheduled for this Friday (previous date was a rainout). If I wasn't experiencing electrical gremlins in the Probe, I think that I might see if I could break it the rest of the way - but I've been dying to see what the S will do and how hard it is to launch, so I'm thinking that's it's going to make the trip instead. My biggest worry at this point is how hard it is going to be to stay awake! Anyone else interested in checking this out? Should be fun.
