Default Dirty Car

Anyone's S2000 get covered in bugs in the grill area whether driving or not. I'm really getting tired of cleaning my baby, and sometimes those bastards won't come off. Any suggestions on dealing with this?

Hm...

Either bug + tar remover, clay bar, LOTS of wax.....

OR

Clear bra (expensive and somewhat visible)

OR

Leather bra (may not be your taste, and should not be left on or it will cause uneven aging of paint)

Yeah. No miracle solution I've found :-/

Carry around detailing wipes and use them often.

Yup. Quick Detail, Stoner glass cleaner and towels in the trunk.

Unfortunately, with our upright windshields and verticle front bumper covers, our cars kill bugs faster than a can of Raid.

i'd say just find a good detailer and sit back while they sweat over the bugs... al while sipping your favorite drink of choice

P.S. Don't ever take pressure washer to the front bumper after the little bugger have been there for a week or so

...but worth it's weight in gold. It also protects against rock chips which will make your car look way worse than a few bugs will.

If it's applied correctly, it will hardly be noticeable. Here's a hint: before having the clearbra installed, make sure the car is super clean - I mean washed, claybarred and waxed - then install the clear bra. Also, once the clearbra is installed, make sure you use a toothpick and microfiber on the edges of the clearbra to remove any excess wax it it will virtually disappear.

My S is berlina black and the only time anyone notices my clearbra is when they get right up on the car.
