Default clear bra prep

i am going to set up a time this week to get my clear bra put on. what do you guys do before getting this done. should i make sure to wax it very well? also over time i know the wax goes away but how do you keep your paint looking good under the bra?

thanks

my recollection is that all products need to be stripped off first-
alchohol, or dawn, etc. can be used to do that.
so the answer is no dont wax it. maybe sure it is cleaned- you might check with the installer to find out how they prep it.

you can wax it after the clear bra is installed.
some disagreement as to whether a wax, synthetic or plastic preservative (303, vinylex, plexus, etc.) should be used.

black05s2k- your questions are good questions-

and yes, your paint is protected by a clearcoat...
then that will be protected by the film-
and that will be protected by whatever you choose to put on it

When you get it done, just make sure to bring a microfiber towel that does not leave any lint and be sure to wipe the car right before the clearbra guy installs the film. The clearbra installer will just spray some alcohol/water solution over your car and wipe it down, then apply the clearbra. I personally recommend washing the car the day before or the day of the installation and make sure there is no dust, hair, etc... on your car. Any dust that is on top of the car will be trapped under the clearbra, so you don't want to have any dust time capsules.
I was told to apply my Plexus (properautocare.com) to the clearbra because it is an anti-static, polish and protectant all in one. This way no dust will collect on the bra and any insects that hit it will not stick as bad.
