I spent 4 or 5 hours there on Friday with a couple of guys from New England, and a couple of local guys. The road is fine. The shoulder is patched in a couple of places (I assume in preparation for paving) but nothing else has been done. TDOT says the construction has been pushed back to June, so the road should be fine for a while.

There was no equipment on the side of the road, and I doubt there will be any until June. It's supposed to be a 2 week paving job, so I doubt they'll get equipment up there early. Conditions were pretty much perfect.

Sorry, I'm not going this time around. I've postponed until September myself, but anyone that wants to get together a group to meet up there in two weeks is free to do so.
Maybe someone else can volunteer to make reservations at a hotel take the Atlanta group?
