Modifry's web site now open
Not like it's anything special, but I told y'all I'd post when I got some info up on all my modifications, so this is it. I'm a total amature web builder, and I'm not finished the site yet, so feel free to bash me while I'm on vacation and totally out of touch the next 10 days.
Serioulsy, I figger'd I'd post it here for the local folks to look at and provide CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, before posting on the national board. Then when I come back on the 19th, I can tell y'all where to get off.
Sorry I'll be missing the events the next two weekends, but Tanya and I are going on a Cruise to celebrate our 20th.
See just how bad Bob has chopped his wiring to pieces here .

Yes, very good site. I like all of the install pictures with the yellow arrows and writing describing what each picture shows.
My only constructive comment is that I'd like to see more graphics on the home page.
Very nice Mr. Fry.

Nice mods... Does your dome light mod make the light dim gradually when it turns off? If not, accept it as a suggestion... It is a great touch.
A few other suggestions: lighted door locks, self raising windows on remote door lock, and best of all, an auto lock system for the soft top. I know this last one is more mechanical than electrical, but wouldn't it be cool to exit the car, alarm it, and see the top and windows shut themselves up with no human intervention?

Basically, Sir Fry, the recipe for a website is simple.
1) Is it intuitive? If I go to your site and have no idea what to do next, where to go to find something, or have no idea what your point is for having a site, then it won't make my favorites list. I should be able to intuitively follow your links to find out what I want to about your subject material. Which brings us to:
2) Is it navigable? For the love of Todd's Cocker Spaniel, don't lead me deep in to the armpits of your site and then shut the door on me so I can't get back out. Because the way I'll get out then is with ALT+F4 and resume going to another site. Navigation Links, Buttons, Whatever must be on every page. This can be accomplished by Frames, or Shared Borders in Frontpage.
3) Do I care? For corporate websites this is essential. BS information is just wasted space. HOWEVER, this rule flies out the window in a personal site. You could dedicate your site to the mating habits of your neighbor's ferret and, well, SOMEBODY would read it. Do give a couple of seconds to think about your target audience though. Think about what they might want to know about you and post that information FIRST in the navigation.
The rest is spiced to taste with eyecatching color schemes and images that suit.
I think your site is off to a great start. No big rules broken, and good information easy to find. Congrats.
