my injen cai
ok fellas, i know i asked this before last month but here goes...I asked last month if it was normal for the injen cai to make a whistling noise and everyone told me it was normal. I was talking to a friend last night and he also said it was normal BUT i also forgot to mention that it isnt only when i "get on the throttle". Even for regular driving (at low rpms) i get a slight whistling that i can only hear with my shotgun window down. I forgot to mention this on the last post i did and i know a whistliing sound is normal right before you hear the "suction" noise, but is it also normal at low rpms? when the gas is just slightly pressed? Thanks again for any help.
Sorry! Tony,
I guess you might have to ask this question on the main Forum? I don't think anyone here have the knowledge or experience that you are having with the CAI. I don't have the CAI and don't have enough info for you. I thought the OEM air box is designed to create the best possible air flow, cooling, and swirl for the car? Again, may be I don't know enough. But I have seen a lot of Honda racer kept the OEM airbox! The "Foo" hatchback won the Speedvision with the stock airbox! Just my $.02. I need to do some study on this matter, will let you know soon!
*But did you check all the connection of hoses? Make sure they are connected correctly and make sure ALL the jointing areas are sealed!*
Good luck!
