Default Possible move to Atlanta

Hi Everyone-

My husband may be transferred to Atlanta (were in Tampa Bay area now) and we're looking for some suggestions on places to live and general info about the area. He will be working at the airport and we have been told areas like Newnan, Peachtree City and Tyrone are within a 1/2 hour drive of the airport.

We are in our late 20's/early 30's with no kids and have really never been to the area before (our first trip is this weekend) and don't know what to expect!

Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I do not know that much about the south side of Atlanta. The cities you mentioned are all in the vicinity of the airport, and from what I hear, are great places to live. The good new is, you will be close to TimS2k who is our local aftermarket parts supplier. Just about any modification you would like to make, Tim can get you the parts. So, welcome to the Atlanta area, and check us out at www.s2000atlanta.com. That's where most of us hang out.

Thank you so much for the information. I forwarded the website to my husband to check out.
We are very torn about having to make this decision since we are very happy in Tampa- but perhaps if we know we are going to a place where there is an active S community- we will feel a little better!

We're proud to say that there is actually a large S2000 community in Atlanta.

Not too many from the south side though. Just find a good realator in that area to take you around and show you the "good" neighborhoods.

We look forward to meeting you if/when you get settled in.

We'll see how our trip goes this weekend. We have an appointment with a Realtor on Friday and one on Saturday. We also want to see what the general area is like. As things are right now, we are saying no to the move- however, there are some other developments which may tip the scales in favor of going. Tough decision!

Thanks. You guys are making me feel better already!

We had some snow last night believe it or not - but don't let that dissuade you. Weather this weekend is going to be very nice! Have fun, relax and enjoy your visit! Maybe you will even find your 'dream house'!!!
