Where to get valves adjusted
Hey guys,
finally got an AP1 after being on these forums for almost 10 years. When my car gets here I’m gonna have fluids flushed and valves checked… I’m in the Gwinnett area. What shops are reputable to do so?

Valve adjustment is embarrassingly easy only requiring $30 worth of tools at best. Tedious but easy. Having a "shop" do this requires the car being left in their shop overnight as the engine has to be cold and merely moving it indoors will make it too warm. Check the photo essays in the library for how simple this is.

You will probably have as much experience as any "shop" in valve adjustment unless you can find a known S2000 specialty shop or Honda motorcycle shop. With the valve covers off the S2000 and Honda 4-cylinder motorcycle engines look darn near exactly alike. Adjusting valves cold seems "unusual" to many so a "hot tip" is ensuring you drop the car off the night before it's be serviced and parked inside the shop for the night. If they baulk at that go elsewhere.
