all i know is i wouldnt be on track especially in a convertible with no roll bar .....
it does have hoops but they don't realy seem substantial since your head sticks over the top of em

i just moved my car round the corner, left it for 15mins came back and there was a crack in the windshield
it starts in the left bottom and snakes into the middle about 12 inches
I've no idea what caused it?
I'm wondering how much it costs to get it fixed, has anyone had theirs replaced?

yea getting a cage is a PIA though and then its not realy safe on the street because your head is right by the bar

As far as I know, the windshield frame provides most of the support, should the car flip. Just look at some photos of wrecked s2ks.
What you really need is a hard top, then get a bar that can take use of the room for the soft top. Most of the bars sold have to leave clearance for the soft top, but when its gone, you can get a really nice one like this.
