Speaking of which... Any of you guys got any opinions on "smart home" door locks?
I have friend that is a part-time locksmith and he said think less about the quality of the lock and more about how I want to integrate it with my current gear. He has Kwikset branded locks all over his house and is integrating them with the Samsung smart home hub. I'm pretty deep in the iVerse so I thought I would look into their stuff first.
Anybody have any good or bad experiences? I'm not interested in a DIY setup because it has to just work out of the box. I'm not effin around with this one.

We went with a Schlage, or however you spell it. It has a smudgeproof front cover which is important that you don't leave marks on the buttons you push.

You have to be part of the super secret club. You are only a level 12 Padowin, you need at least level 15. Extra levels can be earned, at about 1 level per year, or you can buy them now through AlexSoft Live or pirate them through JeffIsland.

What pisses me off the most is that when manufacturers abandon the hardware, they don't bother to open source the firmware. I realize it's because they want to sell you a new watch, but this shit should be illegal. It's like you don't own the watch anymore. You are paying a one-time rental fee for a term that is TBD.

Liz and I have a keypad lock. We opted to not go smart lock because 1. IT gets hacked as mush as Pamela Anderson gets plastic surgery, and 2. Why force technology where you don't need it?

We might have a newer model? It has a flat panel on the front, the keys hide until you touch it.
