My headphones literally just died. There is metal connector where the wire from the jack splits off to the two earbuds. The insulation at that connector is all split and I think is causing short. If I hold it "just so" I get a little sumptin, sumpin but it is gone as soon as I let go.

my factory ipod connector doohickey that allows my car to talk with an ipod or older style iphone croaked. I have to use the phone now therefore no control of the track listing.
