I keep having to explain the "science" to Melissa about making a good fire... I had one Thursday night that was f-ing awesome. Good thing too because the weather went poo-poo after that. You can get wet wood to go if you have enough heat going.

I think my problem is that the bottom of my fire pit is filled with wet bits of material from past incomplete burns and lots of ash. It has been so wet this year and even though it has hardly rained at all in the last two weeks, all that muck is still a wet mess. I was honestly thinking of getting one of those packages of kiln dried wood at 7-Eleven so I could get a wicked hot fire going and could clean it out. What I did last night was mostly just sticks and broken limbs from my trees - too thin to burn long enough to really get hot even though I did have quite a bit of them.

I try to go back to where I used to work and cut up busted wooden pallets they have sitting outside, but I have been bad about getting out there - so yeah - the emergency wood is coming from Kroger, etc. That stuff is usually too big to ignite though - need a ton of smaller bits to get those going.

I played some world of tanks this weekend - they had x3 xp going so that was good. It really is fun when you don't get killed immediately

It was starting to grow fur I ordered some stuff of Amazon with the intent to get the fuzz off the car. I don't have the ideal setup for that stuff. No garage and only 1 spigot on the back of the house which means 2 hoses up and over the fence - standing in 1" deep sand and gravel so that leave me with having to spend $5-10 on water by going to the car wash down the road. That's just for water.

Those touchless car washes don't really do a good job imo. Car looks somewhat "less" dirty but not clean.
