I don't think so re: ladder. I think they didn't think that one through unless we're left to assume that Yoda got it for him. I mean when Luke arrived at Bespin, how did he get out? When we 1st see him all the halls are empty - was that an unused section of Cloud City? The place was crawling with activity when Han arrived, he got a warm welcome and everything. Luke's arrival gave the impression the whole place was on lock down at least until we see Lando make that announcement telling everybody to run to the hills as it were... then ice cream maker man appears...

I might do that except that is usually when I am going over the 40 bajillion things I need to do or forgot to do or... SQUIRREL!

I don't think I could focus long enough to have that kind of in depth conversation with own head.

So is everyone standing up from top to bottom? If so - how did the weapon move from the top half to the bottom half?

The trench is north - south. east - west is where all the hanger bays etc are
