My Dad says that all the time.

Irregardless goes right up there with "save fail"

No changes in rate. We have accident forgiveness. It was a low speed accident so there really wasn't much damage to the car - the front bumper collapsed, of course, but no frame or mechanical damage at all. It was just the fifteen or so airbags and a bunch of plastic parts that need to be replaced.

Oh... And the hood... She manged to wrinkle the very front edge of the hood.

This is honestly the best outcome for us financailly because of the difference between what she owes on the car and what it would probably be worth. We have all of our savings into the house so coming up with what would have probably been $6k to $8k to pay off the loan would have been challenging. This way she gets a car that should be in good shape that she genuinely likes and we are only out the $500 deductible. Not too bad, I think.

Granted the car isn't worth dick now so she pretty much has to drive it until the wheels fall off. Which for a BMW could get expensive eventually. If it ever needs a new, for example, transmission (or something else REALLY expensive), I'll take it out back and put it out of its misery.

Fixing it is the best outcome I think, it's not like you can buy a replacement with the money they give you, especially when you factor in what's owed etc.
