[QUOTE=Poindexter,Sep 8 2005, 08:07 AM] The S is more nimble and responsive, while the M is what I would call a "locker" - when you go into a turn you can push it harder like it is locked in.

dave - I'm anxious!! I've bitten off all of my nails and toe nails. My biggest concern is once Sept passes, my availability will go downhill.

TEP!

I'm still waiting on the local guy. I'm as anxious as you are, so you'll know as soon as I do.

I only saw them for a second...it couldve been a black one and a white one. Looked silver at a glance. I'm going through the gallery trying to find the video you mentioned

I know. Just give me a call or I'll give you one after work one day and we'll discuss it in detail.

That was merely an attempt to grab your attention. I realize now it looks a little angry. It isn't. I'm a generally happy dude.

thats only because it's a bigger car....probaby feels more solid than the S but i think the s gives you more control of the car than the M will let you
I do not want to get into an argument between the S and the M because the cars are soooooo different:

1. Japan vs. German
2. $30K vs. $50K
3. Weight
4. Purpose
5. Heritage
6. We can go on and on

I love both cars and understand what they are for. I will just leave it at what I said - the S is more nimble, but the BMW (I did not say M ) can be pushed further. It is not because of feedback - it is just the way the car was built. Yes, the extra weight helps to keep the BMW planted when comparing to a lighter car.

Both cars have awesome potential and ability - both cars are instant classics and the top of engineering. Both cars are NA beasts that put a smile on anyone's face

I will say that I think the S will be more fun on a road like the Dragon, but I'll have to report back on that one later

S2Ki is a better board than M3forum
