Sad thing for me is that I never had the desire to go into the military.
I took all the tests and filled out all the paperwork. Did everything but sign that last sheet that says "yo ass belong to Uncle Sam now." I told the recruiter that I had applied to law school and that if they didn't take me, I'd be back.

I think I got an acceptance letter from Quinnipiac like the next day.

DUMB.

I received so much bad advice during what was a very critical time that just thinking about it makes me want to go stand in front of a transit bus. It seemed to make sense but everything I was told went against what I felt what I should do. Especially what my parents were telling me.

For all intents and purposes, those decisions ruined my life and I have been busting my ass ever since to make up for it. I'm still nowhere...

Ive never seen anything as rigerous (Shut up internet spellers, Im not googling the correct spelling to make you nerds happy) as an engineering curriculum. Kari came home crying countless numbers of times, she had 0 time for shakespeare or molding.
Kari had a husband, long commute etc.

I lived a mile from campus and no one beside for my high school girlfriend in montreal that most people didn't even know about.

Yeah. I had time for all of those things I took as my general education requirements. I also took Eng classes and Science based classes as my gen eds also.

For me it was either military...community college or best buy. lol
If I had it to do over again. I would get my AA from CC, then go to a University. Actually, kind of doing that now.

Did go to a tech school though. They wanted me to teach their after I was done, but wasn't quite sure if I wanted do IT work at all. Go figure.
