Peter, the issue is simple. This is a fourm of many diverse personalities. And it is designed for the purpose of communication among like minded folks when concerning cars and cars only. All other conversation is thread topic driven. HAW was, and in my opinion it still is, a BS thread to take our minds off work. In my humble opinion it is suppose to be light, and fun. So lighten the fvck up, and smile, I swear it will not crack your face, nor harm your rep in the overall scheme of life. 
I also don't like the whoring just to raise ppd, that was not the intent of the HAW thread. I know because all except maybe in the first one, I have participated in the banter. I also choose at one point to not participate. So in some sense it is also self regulated, with the exception of Jeff, look how all the whores have changed. Naveed at one point had me staying off this site for months. He seemed to post non-stop for 8 hours straight. To me that should have been more of an issue that Dan's silliness. But again, playful, funny, silly or just out right stupid, in MHO, is allowed.
You can always tell the ex cop from the pot head just from the reading of text.
