It is probably worn out from you needing to use it all the time...
When i go to disarm my car it takes me awhile to actually get it to disarm. I replaced the battery in my remote and still had the problem. I figured it might be the car battery causing it... i'm not too sure....

Yup. It needs to go...

I had to replace the remote for my alarm system for the same reason. It was a lot older (about six years) when I had to do it, though... IIRC, it was about $75 for a new one from Meyer Emco...

Do you have a second remote? Does it work any better??

Nope no second remote

Any chance it could be the car battery... if the remote's the problem it almost seems easier just to buy a new remote...

Hummmm...

Try using the remote when the car is running... That should take the battery out of the equation. Also try using the remote outside of the car (again, while it is running).

Make sure you have a spare key handy, though. Just in case...

There ya go... I bet it is your battery, then.

Take it to Autozone and have them test it. I think they do this for free...
