Fact is, our rights are being stripped away by this current Congress, not just technology.
The simple fact of the matter is that this one-party rule shit has lead to massive, unbridled corruption and malfeasance by those who have the power... Who, for the past six-twelve years have been Republicans.
Now, if there are some "good" Republicans out there that still stand for true Conservative principles, I support them. The problem is that things have skewed so far to the right that the Democrats are now the ones espousing and looking better on traditional conservative principles like small, non-invasive government, fiscal responsibility, national security, etc.
That's my rant for the evening. We need change badly. We need to reverse this trend yesterday. We need to bring balance back to government. One party rule - Dem or Rep - leads to this kind of downfall of government. Right now it's the Rep's turns to be kicked out.

So far to the right?
Example please as none come immediately to mind at 0245. Personally, I believe immorality is so high that it's beginning to be difficult to find honest people, not just in government. Common decency(rooted in religious background) is nearly extinct.
I believe whole-heartedly that every individual is to be held accountable for the state of the union. If every individual held the belief that they are owed nothing and worked on their behalf, we'd be in a better state. For too long we have pampered those here illegally. For too long we have carried those unwilling to change unproductive lifestyles.
I've been on food stamps. I had to use the system not that long ago. Pretty sad actually for a person who served his country voluntarily and has an IQ that deems him not an idiot by any means. Fact is, I used the system until hard work and dedication led me and my family to be able to survive and then move on. All this "woe is me" crap is just that- crap. We are a friggin' spoiled-ass society with no concept of real strife.
You hear it all the time- each generation wants to make life better for their offspring. Long ago we stopped making it better and simply started making it simpler. I've lived in northeast Ohio where blue-collar was my family's middle name. I've lived in Houston in the 80's during the boom. The military took me to Arizona and beyond our borders. Now I am here where the heartbeat of America cannot be felt despite being near the nation's capitol.
I have no answers other than each man should hold himself accountable.
