I guess it is safe to assume that if you are looking at a job listing and you don't understand half of the acronyms on the page, you probably don't qualify...

The way i see it, CO jeff, is it comes down to whether or not you are a risk taker. right now your probably comfortable at your current job. you know all the in's and out's and how to get things done. non-risk takers would look at this as the best thing in the world.
Now if you are a risk taker you would want to further yourself and move up in the world as far as pay and responsibility, but this opens the door for problems and things going wrong.
What you have to ask yourself is which one are you.

On a totally different topic...

Anybody know anything about Mindbank Consulting Group? They have an opening I am considering applying for. Not my dream job but better than what I do now for about the same amount of money...

Any opinions will be appreciated.

I am somewhere in the middle; a motivated non-risk taker.

I hate my job so much that I can't wait any more to get out of here. Plus, my boss is dropping some big hints that I do not think it is wise to ignore. I am the guy that keeps the books so I know better than anyone how much money we are loosing these days.

It is always easier to look for a job while you still have one.

having read that - if the pay is the same - why not stay where you are and enjoy the freedom you have? i.e. these walks you take, leaving early, long lunches, ...HAW, etc.
