Jeff, the Mega Job Section will be in the Washington Post this weekend.
hrm....

I have never heard of anyone who got a job through the post. Or, for that matter, through Monser, CareerBuilder, etc...

Most companies have a requirement that they place an add for so long on such resources. The Federal Government is especially guilty of this.

9 out of 10, the position is filled before the add is placed. They do it because they have to.

well i think the is unavoidable.
Here is the thing... My boss was on the phone earlier today. His cell phone rings. Instead of letting the voicemail get it, he tosses the phone to me and says, "Answer this." I was actually rather busy at that moment, too.

That is what I call and, yes, it should be avoidable.

I have found all my jobs from word of mouth (friends), except my current one (and T. Rowe is questionable). I found my current one through Monster, kind of just fell in my lap since I have these automated searches that email me daily/weekly.

Not headhunters, me thinks... More like 's.

Looks like they "loan out" IT pros. Any staff member stays on the MindBank payroll and gets MindBank beni's.

Interesting business model...

Also interesting that it is a woman owned company.
