i'm pretty simple when it come to cd players like that..

as long as it can push the speakers well enough and has the output for for the sub and i can control it using the HU.. good enough for me

if i replace my HU, i have to get something with a screen. there is toom uch space where it is now.

I find that changing up one brand for another is a PITA because you will need a new harness. I have had three Alpine's in my S now but I have yet to change the OE to HU adapter because they have all been the same.

I'm sure that will change sooner or later, though.

I am really tempted to do something like that for my Jeep. The hole in the dash is HUGE. I could totally put like a nav screen in there or something similar.

But... There is zero security in a Jeep and it will get stolen before I even get to enjoy it.

my first aftermarket HU was a top of the line cassette player in my truck. came with a really nice alarm system too.
